International Week: "...I seek a saner past..."

I first heard Moby Noor of Moby.MK.II when I began playing the now disbanded Pakistani band Corduroy on the live version of the Heart of the Night Show as a DJ at Songplanet.com. I have a bit of a soft spot for Pakistan, having known some wonderful people from that part of the world. I also enjoy music from Pakistan - but it usually doesn't sound like this!

Although Corduroy no longer exists, I happily rediscovered Moby when he began promoting his solo effort, Light From Many Trees. I enjoy his melodies and his voice, and his determination to make a kind of music he enjoys (rock/power pop) even when it goes unappreciated within his own country.
