The Things You Find Along Interstate 55posted: 08/27/09 13:27
I've read reviews of Boddicker's 2007 release "Big Lionhearted And The Gallant Man" that focus on the lack of singing ability evidenced in Caleb Boddicker's style, but they miss the point. Personally, I'm a lover of great voices - in most cases, I can be found cringing quietly to myself when a vocalist hits a note a shade flat even when he or she gets there eventually. I've been know to leave a show when the vocal misses are chronic. And yet, I truly enjoy the CD and Boddicker's not-really-singing singing. There are voices that are perfect for their own music (Bob Dylan is a singer who comes to mind in the not-really-singing crowd) and Boddicker is one of those whose voice and music mesh perfectly the way it was intended. Never mind that he can't sing. from "Big Lionhearted and the Gallant Man" Label: Banter Records » Visit This Artist's Page At IndieHeart 0 Comments View/Hide or Add Comment
