Artist Bio:
"Urbane and heartfelt quirky folk pop"
Wakefield-based multi-instrumentalist and singer songwriter Will Richards releases his new album ‘One More Chance’ this summer, following a debut album ‘Ready To Talk Now’ and some successful gigs around the UK.
The new album was recorded and mixed by Will at Diamond Studios, Wakefield with final mastering carried out by Harris Newman at internationally acclaimed Grey Market Mastering, Montreal. Will writes and performs a great deal himself including various vocals, drums, piano and guitar parts but was also keen to make the recording process much more of a collaborative affair this time around. The new songs feature some stunning performances from Scott Owens on guitar, Neil Scott on drums and ‘The 9 Plan’ front man Ian Brookes on bass guitar and backing vocals. Other notable guest appearances include backing vocals by local diva Jill Riley and violin by Bryony Griffith of award winning folk act ‘The Demon Barbers’. Perhaps the most influential contribution has come from fellow songsmith and troubadour Ric Neale. Taking time out from his latest collaboration, 'The Housekeeping Society', Ric accompanies on piano, guitar, vocals and accordion and he also co produced the album.
Continuing very much within the DIY ethic, Will presents this new release via his own label, ‘Orange Dog Records’ and looks forward to playing some live shows and promoting the new material. He has been featured on BBC Raw Talent, has won several awards (track of the day, best male vocal) on garageband.com and is now planning more tour dates with his live band around the UK later in the year.
