About IndieHeart

Our Philosophy, Our Staff, Our Contributors

Our Philosopy: Listener-Focused
IndieHeart has one goal: to connect you with terrific music you might not be able to find easily on your own. Our playlists are not controlled by corporate agreements, label reps, or presented in a format that requires surfing through hundreds of artist pages to find the good stuff. We work hard to put together shows which are genre-guided but also present a wide range of styles within the genre. Additionally, we believe that it is not enough to deliver great music to people who are looking for it. You need to be able to easily find out more about the bands you hear in our programs. Every band or performer in our shows maintains a page to allow you to find more information, and most of our artists have additional streaming music and/or free downloads available for their audience.
Our Staff
Jill Nojack has been involved in the on-line promotion of Independent Music as a DJ since February of 2004, when her "Heart of the Night Show" first appeared as a live Internet radio show on SongPlanet.com. She began producing the "Heart of the Night Show" and "TransAtlantic Acoustic" podcasts in 2005.
In January of 2006, Jill started the IndieHeart Independent Music Showcase. She fills most roles, from Program Director to Web Designer (such as it is) with help from some terrific friends who pitch in from time to time to help out with the bits she can't accomplish on her own.
Until recently, Sam spent a large chunk of time on the air as a live DJ at SongPlanet.com, and continues to lend his wit and charm to IndieHeart's TransAtlantic Acoustic Show podcast. Sam is also a talented multi-instrumentalist and songwriter who works in multiple genres. Make sure to check out his artist page while you are at the site!
Listeners to the podcast know that Sam is an interesting, knowledgeable individual (emphasis on "individual") with a unique take on a range of topics from philosopy to politics to scifi to those pesky, persistent badgers.
Friends of IndieHeart
Mike Jones has been involved with Film and Media work for the last twenty five years. A former presenter at Essex Radio and the pioneering Radio Basildon, Mike is currently a film maker and a professional voice over artist.
Mike's rich voice classes up the joint with on-air station IDs for our Internet Radio stations. We can't thank him enough for for his gracious contribution of time and talents! If you are looking for a pro who can take your project to the next level, you can contract with Mike for your own audio projects through Voice123.com. Mike is also deeply involved with yourthurrock.com, a community video news site for the borough of Thurrock in Essex, UK.
Peter Dahl Collins is a musician, producer, and graphic artist hailing from London, England. Peter helps us out in many ways, including providing some of the background music heard on our station promos, giving feedback on site design (which, to our detriment, we seldom implement), to being one of the voices heard in our station IDs. He has also stepped in as a substitute DJ to co-host the TransAtlantic Acoustic Show when Sam was not available.
Peter's services as a producer are available by contacting him from crashtv.co.uk. He also creates beautiful and unique Web sites, primarily for bands and musician, with design partner, Thea Etienne, through their company, Design Resurrection.
